When was the last time you tried something 14,000 times before you succeeded?

Never?

Wrong.

You took 14,000 steps before you could walk confidently for the first time.

Along the way, you fell over 100 times.

And yet, you never gave up.

A masterpiece of discipline!

But what happened to that persistence?

You learned to speak.

And that taught you to doubt.

Now, we’re shaped by these beliefs:

That’s impossible.

I can’t do that.

I’m not allowed to do that.

That’s way too hard.

And even the most persistent among us tend to give up after several attempts.

Good thing we learn to walk before we learn to talk!

Otherwise, we might still be a crawling species.
