The 20s are the prime of our lives.

The phenomenon of lack of motivation is widespread among young people. At least in my law studies, despite all my enthusiasm, I occasionally find myself engulfed by the force of apathy. This is completely normal and nothing to be ashamed of! Lack of motivation always stems from one of 3 causes:

  • You are not pursuing a goal
  • You are pursuing the wrong goal
  • You are pursuing the right goal, but you are on the wrong path

Only with this awareness can one begin to overcome the lack of motivation:

You are not pursuing a goal.

Without a goal, there is no reason for you to expend energy. This lack of energy manifests as lack of motivation.

In this case, your first goal could be to find a goal. Now is the time to consciously go out, try everything possible, and seize every opportunity to gain new experiences. Eventually, you will come across something that you really enjoy or find particularly interesting, and this will give you a starting point for where your journey could lead. The important thing is to always listen to your gut feeling and not to overthink your search. Otherwise…
